A first look at Tassomai’s new GCSE maths content

** Since this blog was published we have added new information for maths teachers **

Our content team is hard at work developing new material for the 2020/21 academic year, reviewing specification documents and preparing quiz questions for our new KS4 maths and English literature courses.

Both of these subjects will be added to our existing schools package at no additional cost. This means schools using Tassomai for all students in years 7-11 can get science, maths and English content for a combined price of just £5 per student.

Our maths content is multiplying!

Some schools have already used our GCSE maths course, and it’s also been available for private subscribers but it’s not quite as comprehensive as our board specific GCSE science content.

From Autumn 2020, we’ll be offering a more rounded course, fully mapped to the specification for AQA, Edexcel and OCR (higher and foundation). We also intend to adapt the content for WJEC and CCEA boards depending on demand.

After consultation with a number of schools and subject experts, we have decided to structure each course in largely the same way, built around core central topics of:

  • Numeracy

  • Algebra

  • Ratio

  • Geometry

  • Pythagoras and Trigonometry

  • Probability and Statistics

Our new maths content will include more images for our questions so that they are more visually engaging, something that we know is essential for learning/practising maths on Tassomai.

“Having taught science and maths, I know how improving knowledge in one discipline benefits both subjects. I’m really excited to see how the inclusion of a great maths product into the Tassomai offering benefits students as they practise through the year.”
