Our guest presenter, Stevie Goulding from YoungMinds.

For World Mental Health Day on 10th October, Tassomai hosted a webinar with Stevie Goulding, Senior Manager for Parents and Carers Services at the charity YoungMinds.

This session covered helpful ways to deal with the various types of stress, anxiety and mental health issues that parents and children may encounter during the school years.

Stevie shared practical tips and communication strategies about how to tackle the tough issues around student mental health, including ‘The Anxiety Iceberg’ and advice for parents on talking to their child, as well as useful conversation starters. She also offered some useful self-care advice for the parents and care-givers themselves.

The webinar finished with a comprehensive Q&A, where Stevie answered questions about a variety of mental health and wellbeing concerns raised by the parents and carers who attended the session.

You can rewatch the full webinar below, you’ll also notice timestamps below the recording in case you want to skip to a bit that’s particularly important to you.

If you have any questions that aren’t answered in the recording then Stevie encourages you to take a look at the YoungMinds website or get in touch with them.
