Closing the attainment gap with Tassomai
How Tassomai is creating features to target Pupil Premium Attainment and close the gap.
At Tassomai, our aim has always been to level the education playing field, and to create tools through our app that can raise attainment for students in all circumstances. Equity in education is a core principle for us, and we are so excited that what we have developed this year appears to deliver on this aim.
What is Tassomai doing to help?
Over the past year, we have developed several new products that aim to boost attainment with personalised, targeted interventions and trouble-shooting support. We recently released our 24/7 AI tutor, Mai and have been testing our Focus Session product, Leapfrog, extensively within our Parent Club.
Leapfrog is a program that analyses the topics where each student can make the greatest progress from a focused 5-minute exercise, then composes a resource-based deep-dive quiz that propels them up the national ranking and then reports on impact to parents.
Tests of Leapfrog so far have been wildly successful, and we are planning to use this feature in two key ways over the coming months. You’ll hear more about Class Tasks, our teacher-set homework feature, very soon… but we’re really excited about developing Leapfrog for Pupil Premium as part of our new PP Boost Program.
What is Pupil Premium Boost?
With PP Boost, we intend to:
issue more Mai credits to Pupil Premium students, so they have more access to support and queries with our AI Tutor;
set them up with a free weekly Leapfrog session that drives rapid progress gains each week and interleaves with the normal Tassomai quizzing to embed those gains.
