Introducing: Dark Mode
Tassomai is excited to announce that the app now supports Dark Mode!
This has been a highly requested feature and the team are always striving to respond to user feedback and integrate as many requested changes as we can. We recently released a Text-to-Speech feature too.
What is Dark Mode?
Dark Mode is a setting on most computers and smartphones that inverts the default setting of dark text on a light background so that the user sees light text on a dark background.
What are the benefits of Dark Mode?
Many users simply prefer how Dark Mode looks and if they use it on lots of their other apps then it provides a nice continuity to their digital experience.
There are a few other benefits, though the exact science behind them is still debated, including ideas that Dark Mode:
Emits less ‘blue light’, which can improve your sleep as having too much blue light before you sleep is thought to keep you awake for longer
Uses less energy so your phone battery lasts longer
Can help people with visual impairments
Reduces eye strain when using a device for long periods of time
How do students turn on Dark Mode?
Students can activate Dark Mode by going to ‘Account’ followed by ‘Settings’ on their dashboard and turning on the Dark Mode toggle. Turning off Dark Mode will return them to the default light mode.
Can parents and teachers use Dark Mode on their own accounts?
Overseers will be able to use Dark Mode on their dashboards right away, following the same process as above. We will also be releasing this feature for teachers too in the near future.
